Class 25: Saturday Spirit 💫

Let's set a single, simple, achievable goal for August.

Hi Writer!

It’s Saturday. I hope that means good things for you.

Usually, I make these videos and then schedule them to be published the following morning. But yesterday the uploading was taking forever and I had evening plans to get to, so I decided to return to my task in the morning. So here I am, in the early-but-not-too-early part of the day.

It’s nice to write this note to you now. I feel closer to you, in a way, knowing that you’ll receive my email shortly. I’m here for you—but it’s a nice feeling for me, to have you there, too.

I love this part of the day when things are cool (it’s going to be a hot day, apparently) and still quiet. I’m going to publish this, then take the dog for a long walk, and then go to the farmer’s market. After that, I might just get a little writing done, even though I don’t have any writing goals right now.

Today’s video is all about setting writing goals, and how to determine a good goal for you, right now. Watch the video, figure out your one priority for August, and, set an oh-so-simple goal with me. Today is August 3 so you’ll even get a couple of ‘freebie’ days to check off.

Goal-setting and regular goal-reviewing is a sure way to get things done, even if you don’t always accomplish your goal.

We are going to have a goal-review class on the last Saturday of every month, so that you can keep your writing on track and moving in the direction you want it to go. Here are the dates of those classes, so that you can make sure not to miss them:

August 31
September 28
October 26
November 30
December 28

Sharing your goals with a friend will increase the likelihood that you achieve them. So please feel free to comment or reply to this email to tell me your goal.

Have a great Saturday, Writer. Thanks for being here and for prioritizing your good and important work.

Danica
